Chandni Chowk is famous for its renowned mithaiwallahs. The area is crowded with big names and Kanwarji's Confectioners is a legend in itself. Do try the Dal Biji here - the most popular item, even among NRIs since it lasts as long as six months. Highly recommended are the Sohan Halwa, Karachi Halwa, Pure Pista Lauj, Panjiri Laddoo and Moong ki Burfi. The snacks on offer include typical Purani Dilli samosas, kachoris and a fiery Aloo Lachchha. A trifle expensive, but then, good things do come for a price! The Jain community from all parts of Delhi insist on shopping here for namkeens.

The old delhi area is a hidden treasure, while walking on the overcrowded lanes there is always an awesome eatery which is hard to miss and this one is one of them. My friend recommended Dal Biji to me and I had that, it was delicious. I even tried some Loddoo and Burfi which were nice. I like this city and such amazing eateries.
