The Ajmal Khan Road outlet of Suruchi is packed with regulars for its Rajasthani and Gujarati fare. The Rajasthani and the Gujarati Thali are worth trying for their sheer authenticity. Even the mall outlets turn out great food: Gujarati and Rajasthani are their core competence; North and South Indian offer good value for money. Other great options are the Pao Bhaji, the Vada Pao and the Khandvi. The taste of authentic Gujarati fare in the midst of a Punjabi bastion is pleasantly startling. The service is warm and hospitable. Suruchi doesn't disappoint with its desi fare, rather it's good stuff, especially its Dal Bati Churma and Gatte ki Subzi. Not a single concession has been made to the North Indian palate: the Gujarati Thali is uncompromisingly authentic. Savour the great Gujarati touch!

Last year I went Suruchi for my friend’s birthday party. Looking at the place I expected least from it. It was just another regular restaurant at the first look. We soon settled down and ordered the Pao Bhaji. I must say I have never ever tasted such yummy Pao Bhaji. We also had Rajasthani and Gujarati Thali of which I loved the Dal Bati Churma and Gatte ki Subzi.
For Suruchi – I must say never judge a place with its ambiance.
