A laid-back but exclusive atmosphere is what you get after ascending two rather steep flights of stairs to Market Cafe in Khan Market. It is visited by young, energetic customers who are not fazed by the endless steps. When they get there, they usually spend hours and hours there: Free wi-fi is offered here. A wall has been left blank for artists and designers to display their creations. The cheerfulness of the ambience and the photography exhibitions aren't quite matched by either the service or the food, which is largely Mediterranean and Mexican. Frittatas, Khao Suey, and Spinach Mint and Mushroom Soup may be a safe bet. The Classical Burger, the Mezze Platter, Pollo a la Plancha, Grilled Balsamic Chicken and Grilled Fish are worth a shot, however. Enjoy the romance of after-dinner hour with a cup of aromatic tea or speciality coffee.
