At first sight, Boombox looks unpretentious. The décor is gothic in an approachable way; the music - a nice blend of house to hip hop to grunge. Brick exposed walls with painted ghettoesque shutters, a very Bronx-Brooklyn kind of feel. Plenty of couch and booth seating with a cute terrace and art work displayed on the walls for sale. The dress code ranged from jeans to dresses; polos to hoodies. But, mature enough not to make you feel like you're partying with a bunch of Bieber-fever havers. The Watermelon Martini, Margarita, LIIT are no fuss and great. Straight drinks like beer, whiskey etc are well priced, flavoured tequila shots all well made. Now for the good news, they have happy hours till 9pm daily and bottle service is a big plus here. With a menu inspired from street food around the world, it boasts of dishes like Krapao from Thailand, melt in the mouth dimsums served with awesome dips, Iranian Chelo Kebab (the copper chimney version better). Boombox is a partnership venture between restaurateur Priyank Sakhuja, model-actor Zulfi Syed and actor Aditya Panscholi, which recently premiered the Salman Khan - Kareena Kapoor starrer "Bodyguard".
