The high points of Mamagoto Lounge are Rahul Khanna and Kabir Suri, friends and partners ruling the restaurant scene In South Delhi. Since a little over a year, this dynamic duo have shifted their sights to West Delhi and have made a foray into the bar scene. The cocktails they serve are actually good and (thankfully) a far cry from the standard watery vodka and sodas offered at a retinue of Delhi's "best" clubs. Highly recommended is the cinnamon whiskey story, which is their take on the whiskey sour. The combination of cinnamon, bourbon and lime make for a refreshing drink on these warm summer nights. It's like a resto lounge. The Bangkok G&T was super. Elegant yet strong, the muddled kafir lime leaves with Bombay sapphire gin. The style is fun kitsch, with rough dark wood floor boards. A partition made of cycle wheel rims just adds to the quirk. The Thai Chicken and the Snow Pea Green Bean, Rock Shrimp Tempura with chili mayo and the spicy Calamari and not to forget the Khao Suey is to die for.
