It is just another coffee shop in the none-too-fashionable Hotel Vikram. 1440 remains open for 1440 minutes (or 24 hours), serving Chinese, European and Mughlai food. Though they position themselves as a contemporary restaurant, there’s nothing special to talk of. As for the foood, Indian is the safest option, whether you have it outside in the open courtyard (funky lights, loud music) or in the large restaurant. The surprise of the meal is Prawn Chettinad in a rather what you may call it a ‘regular’ fare. Chilli Chicken also stands out if Chinese is your choice for the day. Crispy Honey Chicken, Murgh Lababdar, Burrah Kebab, Murgh Malai Kebab, and Butter Chicken: fail-safe fare for the most part. The Western fare is standard though Penne Arabita in Red Sauce stands out. It caters mostly to the Russian clientele who have made this hotel their home in Delhi. Regardless of the time this is a place where you can satiate your hunger pangs at any hour of the day.
