In the last few months, Aman seems to have been infused with a new lease of life. Gone is the Naoki counter. Instead, there is Indian, Thai and Western food. Best of all, there is a tiny spark of life in the menu that has been created spontaneously out of locally available ingredients, by a team that seems to have a point of view that we locals can relate to. From the poolside snacks to the barbecue in the garden on weekends, I have a feeling that Aman is going to get a life of its own.

The newly renovated Aman restaurant is far superior than the previous one. The decor is more lively and cosmopolitan than before. Also they have come up with a whole new menu. It offers a variety of cuisines including Indian, Italian and Thai. The food is excellent. I tried the mushroom soup for starters. It was extraordinary in taste and texture. For the main course, I had the ricotta ravioli. It was simply divine. My sister ordered pizza and loved it also. Friends ordered their standard kaali daal, paneer tikka and butter chicken and rated it highly as well. The restaurant was eerily quiet which took away from the buzz and ambiance which is typical. Another disappointment: the helpings were inadequate. If the Aman is successful in rectifying these two things they will find a regular customer in me and many others.

It is an all day dining restaurant and I came here a few months back. The menu is actually very interesting and the Indian section is complete on its own. From samosa and chats to kebabs and seafood they have everything. I think their Indian snacks section is overpriced but the main course dishes are justified in their pricing and are also very delicious. In my last visit, I ordered Dum ka Murgh, Kerala style Fried Fish and roti. I must add here that they do not compromise with the taste of food and it’s a luxurious experience of dining.
It can be a great destination for romantic dinner in the evening and formal meetings in the day time.

Some months back, I went Aman that is located in Aman Resorts. I like the place and so the menu. They have Indian, Thai and other cuisines. The surrounding is very nice, where you can simple sit and relax for hours. Aman is truly a great place to visit.
