Celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto and the Taj group have collaborated to set up this restaurant. As much a modern Japanese restaurant as a showcase for Morimoto's own brand of flamboyant Japanese cuisine, it has some outstanding dishes on the menu. So, while the entire vegetarian menu has been done by the Taj, most of the menu consists of flourishes by Morimoto himself. Oyster Foie Gras is one of the signatures and a must-try. The oysters are lightly steamed and set with a piece of Foie Gras — brilliant and innovative. Warm Carpaccio of White Fish is another treat, as is the Grilled Wagyu with three sauces. Those whose palate veers towards the tried and tested can order from the Teppanyaki menu: It is deservedly popular. At Wasabi, even the flowers that are on the plate as decoration are not only edible but also delicious. The desserts in the form of Green Tea Ice Cream, Tofu Cheesecake and Chocolate Tart are innovative. Certainly a must-visit!

One of the most authentic Japanese places in Delhi. I love Sushi and since coming back to Delhi, I have never eaten a thing which is even remotely close to real Sushi. Must I say, that, this is by far the best Sushi I have had in India. We ordered sushi pizza, shrimp tempura and multiple round of Sushi as appetizers. All of them were really good but what I most liked was Shrimp tempura in wasabi sauce. For main course, I ordered Salmon which was nice too. But I felt main course left something to be desired. Service was really good which you kind of expect in a 5 star hotel. Wasabi has a bar counter too, not very expansive but decent enough. As far as ambiance is concerned, it is nicely decorated but sound 'insulation' needs to be better. All in all, a very good place to have Japanese food. But if you are a Sushi connoisseur, this might not be the best place.
