Looking for ethnic Malayali cuisine? Go to Anantha, a little stall at the very accessible Dilli Haat. Nothing special here, but it's fairly authentic, besides being inexpensive. And you can combine a visit here with shopping. Try Appam/Idiappam with Vegetable/Chicken Stew. You could also try the traditional Puttu with Kadala Curry. The multi-layered Malabar Paratha is worth a shot. But the Fish Curry with rice, the Coconut Uttapam, and the Chicken Biryani are avoidable though Fish Moilee is a better option. It’s far from being the best representation of God's Own Country, but worth a visit for the home-sick Malayali or anyone looking for a change to the ubiquitous idli-dosa routine.
