The food here is rather unique it serves the cuisine of undivided Punjab, with an emphasis on the judicious use of dairy, and the total absence of fried food. The food is subtle yet appetizing, and succeeds in capturing the indomitable spirit of undivided Punjab. Some of the most palatable dishes like Bhatti da Murgh, Raan Peshawari, Meat Beliram, Mogewala Meat, Amritsari Machhi and Hara Cholia Teh Bhein are recommended. An interesting dessert on the menu, which is worth trying out, is the Phaldaari Phirnee. Singh Sahib offers a reasonably priced buffet lunch on Sundays. Certainly worth a visit.

This time round, I noted the largeness of the place, rather it was their open spaces that they arranged so endearingly that you get that feel of being not intruded in by any of your fellow diners. Another noteworthy thing is their generousness with time - it was 11:30 pm and they were still all smiles and never even hovered by until you make a sign for the check. Fridays and Saturday evenings are buffet exclusives, so go prepared to tank up with all the good food while listening to some great live ghazals - and the musicians and singers need to be given definite nods and claps.

There is a great show around the Tadka Daal, for which the chef brings in the whole stove & stuff near your table, then asks you how spicy would you like your tadka, then set the flames ablaze on the tawa with daal. Quite an experience - the one that you only get to see at the roadside dhabas...ha, ha! The Meat Beliram was really good, and one could mildly feel the rawness of the tender lamb with each bite. The Peshawari Naan was awesome, with all those Afghani-nuts stuffing. The best part, besides the food, was the unhurried demeanor of the service-team, who leave you alone after the food to enjoy the live ghazals, until you finally beckon them to bring in the check.
