Enjoying a sizeable fan following among the youth, Al Bake has taken Delhi by culinary storm with its version of Lebanese Shawarma — chicken slices cooked over a rotary flame, seasoned with lemon juice, rolled inside pita bread and served with garlic mayonnaise. It serves a variety of quick bites. Momos and Chop Suey sell like hot cakes! Adraki Chaamp, Tangri Kebab, Ajwaini Machchhi and Nizami Malai Kofta are among its other dishes. Rogan Josh, Chicken Biryani and Tandoori Chicken provide further variety. You can also try out Kadhai Chicken — cooked in gravy and flavoured with crushed black pepper and coriander. Their parent counter in the New Friends Colony market may not be chic, but still has its fair share of takers.
