The most plush, tasteful interiors in Rajouri Garden without a doubt.

Atmospherics: Next to Metro Pillar No. 408 is the luxurious restaurant with fat chesterfield sofas and several LED screens with snippets featuring Hollywood stars. California is a melting pot of cultures and cuisines from many parts of the world and Hollywood is a star attraction, and this is the essence of the experience in this path-breaking restaurant. Hence, expect a wide variety of cuisines, but it is a seamless pastiche that includes North Indian and Indian-inspired offerings, done rather intelligently. The menu takes into account the food preferences that exist in each family, where one member likes Italian and the other prefers Thai. The management (which owns other service businesses in the area) is meticulous about keeping records of customer satisfaction, so you will be forced to spend a while filling out a feedback form that is taken extremely seriously.

Table Talk: Though the standard of cooking here is uniformly high, the best things on the menu are the Indian-inspired dishes and the South East Asian ones (the Executive Chef was with Oriental Octopus for several years). The spinach and walnut seekh (Rs 245) was sadly short on walnuts but was otherwise a tasty alternative for vegetarians. Dilli ki chaat (Rs 145) was a slightly upmarket version of what the man across the road would sell: less spice and less sour tang, but the sev was ultra fine and golden and the spinach fried to a crisp. The other quirky dish was sushi paneer (Rs 265) a tongue in cheek look at Japanese sushi. The outer roll was made with a finely sliced length of paneer and the filling was chopped mushrooms sautéed with cheese sauce.

For main course, peanut butter chicken (Rs 365) manages to be novel and familiar at once. It has the texture of regular butter chicken (which is on the menu) but is smoother and creamier. A must try! Where California Boulevard excels is in its desserts, especially expresso chocolate cake mousse.

Plus and Minus: It’s hard to fault the design aesthetic which competes with five star hotels. California Boulevard has a tie-up with Harley Davidson, so if you drive up on one, you are assured of a safe, cordoned off parking spot with dedicated valet.

Must Try: Thai chicken pizza, cheese fondue, tiramisu

Lucky for me a part of my family lives near Rajouri Garden or I would have never had a chance to visit The California Boulevard. It is quite an interesting place. I went to this restaurant with very low expectations which is why when I entered I was absolutely thrilled to see the space they have created. This restaurant has been around for less than a year but it was bustling with people and everyone seemed rather happy. The place had a very lively vibe. The California Boulevard is a great place to pick for a fun weekend party with friends. I love movies and The California Boulevard is all about Hollywood and celebrities. The restaurant even has a real Harley Davidson! I love desserts and because the restaurant was celebrating Cameron Diaz's birthday the day we went there and we got to dig into it. It was absolutely divine. Even though The California Boulevard is a party place and there were tons of people in there, the staff still ensured that we were well cared for. They ensured that our glasses were always full and we got our courses in quick succession. Multi-cuisine restaurants always make me nervous. I always feel it is best for restaurants to just specialise in one cuisine but this restaurant pleasantly surprised me. Even though they had a lot of items on the menu, the restaurant's chef did a great job in whipping us up a treat. Our starters included Nachos (Rs. 165), Dilli ki Chat (Rs. 145), Prawn Spring Rolls (Rs. 225) and Cheesy Chicken Chowder (Rs. 175). The Dilli ki Chat and Cheesy Chicken Chowder were recommended by the Chef and were signature dishes of the restaurant. I quite enjoyed my starters, the soup in particular was exquisite. Our delicious starters left us craving for more. The Wok Fried Chicken (Rs. 325) had been marinated with soy and garlic and tossed with basil and fresh red chillies. The flavours were absolutely wonderful and this was one of the nicest things I ate at this restaurant. I coupled this with a lovely caprioska. The one I picked was a Cucumber and Basil Caprioska (Rs. 275). Next up a delicious Honey Chilly Red Snapper (Rs. 455). Perfection lies in simplicity, this was simple wok tossed fish with sweet chilly sauce but for me it was absolutely spot on. We also ordered an Indian main course dish - Gosht Nihari (Rs. 365). The fragrant lamb jus and saffron were to die for. The end to my meal was rather happy because I got to try three different desserts, thanks to my friends who are just as dessert obsessed as I am. We started with Flamb Baileys Jamun (Rs. 175), Spanish Churros (Rs. 175) and TCB Kulfi Gazzak Ferrous (Rs. 195). The last dessert was really special, created with the popular Indian dessert Gazzak and the ingredient that every dessert must have - chocolate, the chefs had manage to create a finger-licking delight on the plate. All three of us closed our eyes to savour this unusual treat. I know you will too!

The treasured walk-in cellar houses over 1200 wines that are each painstakingly stored at the right temperatures. For the newbie grape-gushers, there are 12 wines by the glass that you can pair with their excellent cheese platter, while connoisseurs will love their 10 white grapes such as Cortese and Vermentino and 14 red grape varietals including Tempranillo and Nero DAvola. The Champagne collection is brilliant as well with a Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve as well as a G.H. Mumm Cordon Negro Brut.

I went to their roof top Am Pm bar cum cafe . The ambiance is mind blowing with half of the roof covered and half of the roof open . Perfect setup for winter partying We ordered a Manhattan , Singapore sling ( this was yuck drink ) and a LIT ( one of the best in Delhi ) For food we ordered suhshi and dimsum and both were expectionally good . Then we even tried the spring rolls which were good nothing good or bad just a good bar food . Love the music which they were playing . A place to go again and again One of the best places to party in West Delhi
