When you take the highway to Lucknow, the capital of erstwhile Awadh, you have Shipra Mall on your left, barely a few kilometres out of Delhi. Andaz-e-Lucknow, an outlet in Bite Inn (the food court at this mall), seems to be a promising name. Unfortunately, it has nothing Awadhi about it. It is good old food-court fare that you will get here. Paneer Lababdar, Dum Aloo, Mutton Rogan Josh… each lacks the distinctive aromas and sophistication of Awadhi khana. But still, if you have to, go for Handi Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Kadhai Paneer and Kadhai Chicken. Shami Kebab, Kakori Kebab, Galouti Kebab and Ulte Tawe ka Paratha attempt to recreate a glimpse of Lucknow. But don't quite succeed. Lucknow door ast!
