The original owner of Moti Mahal, Kundan Lal Gujral, roped in two more partners for expansion of the brand in the 1970s. One partner's descendants, the Kohlis, have established the brand name Moti Mahal Delux Legendary Culinary. The menu consists of Chicken Tikkas, Mutton Burrahs, Dal Makhni and Butter Chicken said to have been invented in the original restaurant at Daryaganj. This is the prototype for all menus of North Indian restaurants all over the country and even in the rest of the world. On the face of it, there appears to be little difference between the various sub-strands of Moti Mahal today; tomorrow, each is probably going to seek new directions.

I was in Saket to meet a friend after a long time and we were looking for a place that does not has the maddening crowd of the mall and we came across the Moti Mahal Delux Legendary Culinary. This is a typical north Indian restaurant having a menu that covers most of the dishes of this part of the country. I and my friend had Mutton Burrahs and Butter Chicken with roomani roti. We liked the food though the ambience requires little more effort. However, Moti Mahal Delux Legendary Culinary is a nice place for sitting and having a quiet time.
