Opened in 1996, Bamboo Shoots is Noida's first Oriental restaurant. The eating joint, known for its fast service, offers a large variety of food. The Mongolian Hot Pot Soup is not only wholesome but filling as well. Also worth trying are Yang Tse Snapper, Chicken with Aniseed, Stir-Fried Zucchini with Bakchoy, Pepper Crabs and Chilli Garlic Duck. Some of the other dishes are Burnt Garlic Schezwan Rice, Mapo Khatraw, Chicken in Red Curry, Jiachorn Nam Rhirk and Jangnya. Some of the dishes come with a variety of chilli-garlic sauces. Teppanyaki on the menu is really exotic. Certainly not the best in the league but you could dine at Bamboo Shoots occasionally. Somewhat overpriced, though.

I got a chance to visit Bamboo Shoots yesterday with one of my friends. We were looking for a nice and calm place where we could eat, drink and talk. Bamboo shoots is located a bit away from the centre of atta and is across "Top Breads". It has 2 floors, one of which is underground and I believe is meant for families. The ground floor has a small bar. The place doesn't look hi-fi and the decor is ok and nothing to talk about. We were not really in mood to eat a heavy dinner so we ordered some drinks and a plate of 'drums of heaven' and 'chilli chicken'. Drums of heaven was nothing to talk about but chilli chicken was great.
The menu is more geared towards the people who like oriental food. They had a collection of Malay, Japanese and Chinese dishes.
To sum it up, I won't repeat the place since nothing was exceptional there and prices are on the higher side. But people who like oriental cuisines must try this place once as the menu list looked extensive.
