Spread over two floors — one is for seating and the other for parties and conferences — Basil Tree has metamorphosed into a good Italian outlet, though it also serves North Indian and Chinese fare. Pizzas are their strong point. Start with Chicken Caesar Salad or even the Non-Veg Platter. The Ella Bella Pizza, which has mozzarella, black and green olives, assorted bell peppers, garlic, jalapeño and red chilli, is superb. In the non-veg section, Meat Lover’s Pizza excels. Some of the pasta options are Agilio e Olio con Pepperoncini and Sea Prawn Marinara. From the Calazone section, try Tutto Polio. The wraps are also an attraction here. Chicken Supreme and Grilled Fish are the main-course attractions. Chicken and Lemon Risotto, Roast Lamb, Grilled and Prawns are also very good. Finish it off with Noga Mousse or Tiramisu from the Dolci Italia (desserts) section. It’s better to stick to Italian section at the Basil Tree.
