Lime-and-lemony Nirula's Potpourri is reminiscent of a Lirilmeets-Limca ad. But what about the salads? And the pizzas? And the burgers? The Salad Bar may appear VFM, but ends up with the look-taste-feel of that array of salads at those horribly catered weddings both very LS and very DM! The soups are the maida-y kind - a thick fluorescent green Florentine Chicken Soup for the non-vegetarians and a Cream of Mushroom for the shakaharis, you know the kind that was served in tea cups in the 1970s? The rest of the salad spread has nothing even remotely special about it. One needs huge reserves of imagination to get past the Lamb Burger. They also have Paneer Husseini Achari and Grilled Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce. The Fried Fish is nothing like I remember it being - that wonderful Fish Orley that we would wolf down standing at the self-service counter downstairs in L Block. Not in the same league as Nirula's.
