Masakali, right next to the food court, has all-white interiors. It serves only North Indian food, with lots of kebabs, biryanis and curries. Chicken Tawa Kali Mirch is a speciality here. As for the kebabs, go for the Galouti and Shami. Also worth checking out are Paneer Butter Masala, Paneer Takatak, Chicken Curry, Chicken Masala, Mutton Rahra, Mutton Rogan Josh and Mutton Saagwala. There are thalis also, both veg and non-veg (`180-260). Give Masakali a try for a satisfying North Indian meal. Udiyo na dariyo… Masakali!

Situated on the third floor of the swanky GIP Mall, Masakali restaurant needs just no introduction all for the simple reason that the true lovers of Authentic Lucknowi food and Awadhi cuisine know how to reach out to the best eatery in town. Call it their sixth sense or just plain food sense that whoever regards himself or herself as a food connoisseur would have sometime dined at this exotic place not only renowned for serving quick fresh meals, but for undeniably being the first choice of food lovers.
A 40 cover distinctive fine dining restaurant serving Authentic Lucknowi and Awadhi Cuisine, the place enjoys a prominent location in The Great India Place, undeniably the landmark mall of the city. Ever since this restaurant spread over an area space of 1556 sq feet came into being in May 2008, the place has been a rage amongst the authentic food lovers. As soon as you foray into this imperial looking chic eatery, you are assured of a gala time right away. In the simpler parlance, it takes almost no time for the first time visitors to gauge that the place will proffer them an everlasting experience. The real test commences once the meal order has been placed with the stewards primarily because the delicacies rolled out here by the master chef of Masakali are so yummy and scrumptious that it’s arduous to test the patience of guests. Fortunately, the prompt service at Masakali comprising efficient kitchen staff, manager, chefs and captain does not let you down for they duly realize how it feels to anticipate a mouth watering feast. Kudos to the hasty and impeccable response of the serving staff who leave no stone unturned in delivering a hasty service at your table. And then begins the journey of a great dining saga replete with Lucknowi Kebabs, Steamy hot Biryanis, Paneer Tikka Rolls, Chicken Tikka and Seekh Rolls, fresh and juicy Paneer Tikkas, filling Thalis and much more. Those who understand and appreciate the concept of enjoying a lavish, sumptuous meal like to do so in complete solitude, and this is why they put their cell phones to sleep mode so as to indulge in complete food revelry. Well, that’s what you call “sagacious dining”. The restaurant timings are 12 noon to 11 pm.
Quiz the owner of the restaurant Manish Sharma on what really is the USP of the place and he’s quick to point, ‘Authentic richness in the taste of food served especially Kebabs, Biryanis and Curries. Masakali features a contemporary Indian menu and has been known for serving Awadhi/Lucknowi cuisine using innovative cooking styles and the freshest ingredients with an accent on spices and preparation. The unique ambience, though simple yet stunning interiors of the restaurant area complement the food service to perfection. The lively music coupled with the finest standards of service have made Masakali a preferred dining destination. We stand pledged towards delivering highest quality food, great flavors, visual variety and excellent price value. As regards the ambience, it’s a small cozy place, all nicely festooned to treat the taste buds amidst tranquil environs. The mesmerizing waterfall is a perennial source of cosmic energy, and has a positive bearing on the mood and spirits of the patrons. Our clientele includes people from all walks of life visiting our place. Families, students, couples, office colleagues all love thronging the place in seek of a rollicking time. Ladies in specific, prefer hosting kitty parties in this restaurant. Takes pride to state that we are coming up with new outlets in Indirapurum and Gurgaon. As luck would have it, we have never been deterred by intense competition predominately because Masakali has everything what takes to beats its competitors with its sheer taste and quality of its inimitable food served here.”
Masakali is usually buzzing with activities the whole week long, however it is crammed during weekends especially. The privilege of free home delivery to any nook and corner of the city is another salient aspect of the joint. Like any happening, modern day restaurant, which knows how to strike the perfect chord with its clientele, there are special student, corporate gentry, birthday’s and anniversary celebration discounts. During the noon time, it’s refreshing to see a distinguished corporate gentry comprising IT professionals, banking officials, insurance company employees making a beeline for this wonderful place.
The cuisine consists of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Awadh has been greatly influenced by Mughal cooking techniques, and the cuisine of Lucknow bears similarities to those of Kashmir, Punjab and Hyderabad; and the city is famous for its Nawabi foods.
The richness of Awadhi cuisine lies not only in the variety of cuisine, but also in the ingredients used for creating such a variety.
The Signature Creations here comprise:
Kebabs: Especially the Galouti, shami kebab with Mint-Coriander chutney.
Mughlai Curries: There are both vegetarian (navratan korma) and non-vegetarian (chicken and mutton) varieties of korma. Mutton Roghan Josh and Chicken do pyazaa are classics from Lucknow.
Biryani: The process also lives up to the name Biryani in Persian meaning 'fry before cooking'. The vegetarian version of biryani might have some textured vegetable protein based protein balls to present the impression of a meat-based dish for vegetarians.
Chefs Special:
Veg Curries: Kashmiri Dum Aloo, Mix Veg
Non Veg Curries: Chicken Do Pyaaza, Mutton Roghan Josh, Chicken Kali Mirch
Barbeque: Chicken Tawa Kali Mirch, Chami Kebab (mutton), Boti Kebab (mutton)
Miss the place and you will regret it for times to come!!
