Carry lots of mosquito repellants and come by in the evenings because the outdoor seating, complete with mud-wall enclosures, Rajasthani minstrels and wooden tables, makes for a relaxed evening. The menu has some pleasant vegetarian surprises like the Matar Methi Dal and Dal Sahara. Chicken lovers musn't miss the Handi Chicken, Butter Chicken, Fish Tikka Nawabi, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Afghani Chicken and Chicken Hyderabadi. The menu features a Chinese section- Chicken Satay, Chilli Chicken and Broccoli in Black Bean Sauce variety - but it's best left for another day and another place. Sahara has an off shoot in Vasant Kunj by the name Sara that specializes in kebabs, sweets and confectionery.

Sahara has a chic decor with Rajasthani minstrels, bards and clay house look. You may occasionally find solace in listening to the live folk music and performance. The furniture and decor has a Rajasthani elegance to it, though having mud walls can be sometimes disadvantageous! The service is quick and pleasing. The chicken items, especially Handi Chicken, Chilly chicken, Chicken korma, Biryani and Butter chicken, the kebabs and the dal/paneer items are delicious. You just cannot overlook them whether you come for the first or the second time.Most of the vegetable platter including mushrooms are a delight. Recommended with pleasure.
