This international chain has opened its first outlet in New Delhi. Located in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, this 165-seat resto-bar is huge and occupies a 3,650-square foot space. The interiors are done up with the theme of the place, cartoons and burgers adorn the walls. The extensive bar menu includes hand-shaken margaritas, the Chili's signature drink. Cocktails to try out are President Margarita, Manhattan, and Tequila Sunrise. Amongst mocktails Fusia, Evolution, and Blue Pacific are worth placing an order on. Chili's serves typical American food influenced by Tex-Mex cuisine. The specialty is the big mouth burger. The most asked for appetizers are Veggie Cheese Quesadillas, Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Grilled Salmon Baby Backribs, Chicken Crispers and Chicken Wings. Chili's legendary burgers are available in chicken and beef.

It looks like a piece of the United States. We sat in the glassed in section from where you can see all the passers by: kids with maids, young couples on their way to the posh cinema next door etc. The restaurant does have a buzz but we cannot understand why. Our Big Mouth beef burger had a desi touch to the patty which was fried, not grilled and the seasoning was Meican rather than American. They have fajitas and tacos and it is probably one more American chain with overtones of Tex Mex like Ruby Tuesday and TGI Friday. Half the restaurant has brick walls and the bar is located there. Their margarita bar looks quite cool but as we were in a hurry we didn't try any of the drinks. Though we weren't impressed, the place was packed with expatriates out with their children for the weekend. Maybe we're missing something?
