A haven for us media hags as well lovers of cheap beer and rock music, Turquoise Cottage or TC, as its popularly called, broke hearts when it shut shop at its original location in Adchini. But when it opened later at its current residence, the Basant Lok Market, the playlist and the prices remained. Today, there might be a rival TC in the old spot, but this one delivers on all fronts, especially if being in a smoked filled room that makes your eyes water and your feet hurt from the trampling isn't your thing. The Gurgaon outlet is popular with the post-work crowd, while the Delhi one caters to all kinds with an intimate terrace. The bar has the usual suspects along with classic rock inspired cocktails like Brick in the Wall (gin, Southern Comfort, orange juice and Galliano) and Scorpion (white and dark rum, white wine, brandy, orange juice). In eats, try one of their giant samplers. Mondays are Ladies Night while Tuesdays see all-night happy hours and Wednesdays are Rabbit Hole Jam Sessions. Media Nights in Delhi are on Wednesday and Gurgaon on Thursdays. Go and sing along to the music as you drink another round.
HAPPY HOURS: Noon to 9.30 PM
