The Orchid in Vasant Vihar looks as exotic as it sounds. It is done up in purple and white and promises to provide an Oriental culinary journey. Prawn Salt 'n' Pepper, Golden Fried Prawn, Crispy Chicken Honey Chilli, Drums of Heaven, dim sums ( chicken, prawn ), Chicken Kung Pao, Chicken in Sichuan Sauce, and Fish Chilli in Bean Sauce are well done Chinese dishes. There is Salmon, Tuna and Shrimp Sushi. During season, they provide Roasted Eel Sushi. In Thai cuisine, there's Som Tam Thai and Red/Green Thai Curry. Orchid has North Indian cuisine also - Murgh Tandoori, Chicken Malai Tikka, Chicken Afghani, Reshmi Kebab, Hara Bhara Kebab, Mutton Burrah, Murgh Makhni, Shahi Murgh Korma. The food is well-presented and the ingredients fresh. A meal for two comes to about Rs.1,500. Not cheap, but worth it. If you have a special dinner on mind, go there.

Visiting the Orchid was a good experience for me. Though my friends loved the ambiance, I was only stick to food. We ordered Golden Fried Prawn, Drums of Heaven and Fish Chilli in Bean Sauce. Out of which Fish Chilli in Bean Sauce is an add-on in the list of my personal favorites. I love to have Thai foods and so we also ordered Som Tam Thai and Red Thai Curry. The place serves amazing Red Thai Curry too. I must say Orchid was one of the best places I have visited in Delhi.
