This one is for Hungarian visitors who are home-sick for some real Hungarian food and is located in the fishing hamlet of Chapora in Anjuna. Run by a Hungarian couple with most of the cooking done by Victoria, they serve some simple, no-nonsense Hungarian food in the gypsy-style decor restaurant with a very limited menu. Hungarian food is mostly European-style with a touch of paprika. A nice item to try here is the Pasta in Mushroom Sauce, which is Hungarian-style pasta with lots of chopped mushrooms and a spicy, curry-like brown sauce and paprika. It's very robust and filling. Don't forget to dig in to the ubiquitous Hungarian Goulash made with beef broth and potatoes. Though the menu is very limited, you can ask them to cook your favourite Hungarian dishes, which they will if they can.Open during Oct-May.
