On the Baga belt, with a host of beach shacks and eateries offering the catch of the day, there are not many restaurants experimenting in culinary wizardry. Popular expectations are simple traditional fare or seafood in masala or grilled to tickle the taste buds. Enter Jamie’s - who takes one’s culinary expectations to a different level. He has created an open garden concept, standing paper lanterns, white pebbles that glow in the dark. The tables are elegantly set with tiger striped cross cloths and bright red napkins holding a promise of ‘great expectations in fine dining.’ And you will not be disappointed. For starters try the Buffalo (Fried) Chicken Wings in a hot American sauce with a blue cheese dressing. Then there is the Kozhi Milagu Varuwal - crisp fried shrimps, marinated Chettinad style with a Thai fusion sauce and then the spice. ‘Cosy’, sorry ‘Kozhi’ up to a great sensation! Take some time to chill out before the mains. Well the duck has been slow poached for quite some time without taking the overnight marination into account. We are talking about the Smoked Duck Stuffed Petit Filet. The Leg of Lamb is the house speciality. Slow cooked till tender for over three hours, it is deboned and this baby….not rosemary’s baby, although rosemary is added with lemon juice with its jus lie is one to be savoured. Jamie’s does not leave you deserted when it comes to the sweet finale. His desserts are one to be tried. Expresso Crème Brulee - this torched up dessert with the espresso twist could combine two courses together, but if you are in a mood of the biggest crumble in terms of beach cuisine try the Peach and Berry Crumble. Crumble those ‘expectations, Jamie adds a new dimension to culinary wizardry.

After getting tired of the regular food I tried the Chetinadu food at the Jamies. The non veg here is really amazing and Fried Chicken Wings is definitely dishes everyone in the city should try.

In Goa everything is exotic, everything is set up in a way that the locals as well as the tourists gets instantly attracted. But Jamie's is quite different than what one usually expects from Goa. First, the interior is done tastefully to offer you some idea about the food.
From the menu to start with the Buffalo (Fried) Chicken Wings in a hot American sauce with blue cheese dressing is completely appetizing. The house specialty is Leg of lamb prepared with slow cooking.
Overall, Jamie's turned out to be a good dining experience for me and my friends.
