You approach Spotty's Shack, one of the oldest shacks in the Candolim area, at the end of Holiday Beach Road which starts opposite the Candolim Panchayat office, near Highland Resort. It's a favourite place with old-time regulars because of the quality food, decent prices, relaxed ambience and fine views of the beach. The seafood is always fresh and you can have it Goan style with the fiery recheado masala or done in the mild butter pepper garlic sauce. On offer are lobsters, crabs, tiger prawns, jumbo prawns, king prawns (the prawns come in different sizes with the tiger prawn dishes costing around Rs 750), but always ask for the prices in advance if you're on a tight budget. Also try shell-fish like mussels and clams, besides of course the fishes like kingfish or the Goan fish curry rice. They also serve a full English breakfast and excellent steaks in different sauces, pastas and decent North Indian-style food. You can also chill out on beach beds and get yourself a tan.rn
