Bang opposite Tito's is Valencio's, perched right on top of a big sand dune with superb views of the sparkling sea a few metres away. It's a sprawling beach shack-style restaurant with a long and extensive food and bar menu and is quite popular with the Baga beach regulars because of the huge open space around it. They also have a pool table. You must try the rare Tiger Prawns Curry Rice for the real succulent taste of Goan food. However, their speciality is the Kingfish Curry Rice. This and Mackerel Curry Rice are original specialities of the Baga Goan fishing community when this area was still a fishing village only about a few decades ago. Restaurants like Valencio's have still kept that tradition alive as far as possible. They also serve excellent steaks, which are popular with their foreign visitors, and some Indian and Chinese items. Open throughout the year.
