Inspired - that is the word to create an all Goan cake and coffee shop. That is what Fred and Gloria D'Souza had in mind when she opened her little eatery in 2000. Originally opened to cater to the locals in the vicinity and the college students around the place, the little establishment has grown to encompass people from different walks of life with her tasty fare. The Beef Croquettes, Pork and Chicken Pies have few competitors. Assisted by her brother Mario, the preparations are made to order, based on the demand. Wait for the Steak Sandwich and the mustard is applied to the a la minute slices of meat, the burgers, the samosas are fried to perfection. Goan desserts and brownies also occupy a part of their display cabinets, and one can sit in the small eatery and sip on chilled soft drinks for a well needed break and tete a tete. It is like a family place. For those who need some more juice in their system Goan meals like Sorpotel with rice, Beef Curry with rice, and even a Chicken Xacutti are listed on the menu. Can be packed as a takeaway or eaten hot from the cooking pot. It is something to be savoured. For parties and birthdays the ever hospitable couple takes orders, their speciality - the chocolate cake. Tailored to the taste of the locals, the simple low cost meals in Christian Goan style, the homely interiors of the restaurant has created a family place for everyone.
