Located in a quiet corner of Anjuna off the Flea Market road, this is the original German Bakery in Goa and is well-known for its breads and 'alternative', organic food. There's floor type sitting for those who want to stretch out and lounge, and also table sitting. The menu is eclectic and you can get a breakfast of Plain Meusli, or sprouts. But there's a lot for regular foodies too, with everything from Italian pastas to fiery Goan vindaloos and recheados, and lots of Thai dishes too. The pasta with prawns, Penne Alla Tirisina in seafood tomato sauce is superb and the portions, too, are quite large. Also recommended is the Avocado Prawn Pasta Cocktail if you're into salad-style food. They also have a large variety of stuffed Parathas, including a Mixed Veg Stuffed Paratha which, with its homely flavours, makes for a wholesome meal in itself. Plus there are lots of juices, soups, appetisers, sandwiches, besides of course, a few German breads.
