Tucked away in a quiet corner of Calangute, off the busy Candolim-Calangute main road near Literati bookshop, is this superb alfresco Italian restaurant on three different split levels, with the top-most on the terrace. Expect the finest Italian food here made from authentic Italian recipes. Choose from starters, pastas, pizzas, soups, salads, and main courses of beef, seafood and chicken. In pasta, go for the dlectable Spaghetti in Orange cream sauce with prawns or the Smoked Salmon Spaghettti for a delicious repast. Or if you're looking for the familiar, there's a delicious Spaghetti Carbonara or Spaghetti Napoli for the vegetarians. They also serve great pizzas and a 12-inch Margherita will cost you Rs. 220. Or you can try their steaks for a meaty meal. And they also have Beef Lassagne. The ambience here at night is very romantic and the trees in the garden, alongside the dining tables, attract a large number of small fruit bats who make a delightful sight as they fleet in between the branches. La Fenice is an unit of the well-known ABC Farms of Pune and the restaurant is very popular with the Italian expat crowd in north Goa for their authentic food, but not so well-known amongst the touristy crowd. They're open all day for breakfast and drinks, and have a variety of breakfast options open, though their lunch and dinner menus are exclusively Italian.

Viva La Fenice, Ristorante Italiano is a wonderful Italian food plaza that serves nice beef and seafood dishes. I usually come here to feast myself with lot of lovely food like Beef Lasagne, Smoked Salmon Spaghetti and big size pizzas. The mocktail of this place is another thing not to be missed. Viva La Fenice, Ristorante Italiano is where most of the European tourist crowd seems to be hanging around and for me it’s a big food festival.
