Deep in the psychedelic heart of Anjuna nestles Mezcal in a spacious old Goan house. The well-appointed alfresco-style restaurant offers superb and authentic Mexican food in a warm setting with friendly Mexicans making sure you are well served throughout, without being obtrusive. There are starters - bocaditos, salads, main courses, other side dishes and desserts too, and they constantly change the menu, depending on the time of season. For a filling main course, go for the Beef Fajita, a sizzler dish which comes with Mexican rice (pulao), Mexican Beans (similar to Punjabi rajma) and Roast Beef, all of course done Mexican style, slightly spicy, with a few corn tortillas (chappatis) to go with. There’s also Chicken Rotisserie (a quarter portion) if you’re not into beef and plenty of vegetarian options too, like, Chilli Corn Carne, a veg stew, Enchiladas, Tostadas, Nachos, Quesadilas and so on. And very reasonable prices too. A shot of chilled Tequila comes for Rs.100.

Here Mexican cuisine is served and their taste and authenticity is not at all questionable. Roast Beef, Nachos and salads of this place are just too good in here. Evening time in this restaurant feels great and for me it’s the perfect place for some Tequila shots that cost lower than usual lavish places.

Mexican Beans and Roast Beef are what all I like to have at Mezcal. I love visiting this place for the food and the interiors. Chicken Rotisserie, Chilli Corn Carne and Quesadilas are just too delicious to resist. Mezcal is an amazing place that serves delicious Mexican food.
