Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed at the slightly overrated Corinne's, located in a quiet corner of Candolim, down the same lane as Bob's Inn. Though they claim to offer the "taste of Goa", the menu is a happy mixture of Goan, North Indian and Chinese dishes. The ambience is alfresco and casual, and the prices lower than some of the leading Goan restaurants in the area. Try here the Fish Recheado or the Goan Prawn Curry Rice teamed with Goan Boiled Rice and Prawn Kismur, which is a concoction of dried prawns, it makes for a most satisfying meal. They also have all the classics like Pork Vindaloo and Chicken Cafreal. The brainchild of the late Goan architect Lucio Miranda, cousin of the famed Mario Miranda, Corinne's would perhaps have been a real celebration of Goan food if Lucio had not died suddenly on the eve of the restaurant's opening. Open throughout the year.
