Well one normally designs the exterior of a house with sprawling terraces, the elevations add to the eye appeal. Well this sort of concept has an appeal when it comes to food too….especially when a spread of this magnitude is catered for a 'family''outing. The Waterfront Terrace and Bar at the Marriott is very popular for its Sunday brunch. It is a place to meet at for families and friends. The food stretches right across the restaurant….with chefs manning the counters. Italian, Continental, Oriental, Indian…sauces, curries and breads. The variety entices and cajoles but where does one start. To add to that there is unlimited house brands…spirits flowing with gay abandon ably assisted by the pulsating music of the live band. The salads and the desserts are spread across at different heights, level by level….like the flowers in a garden, their subtle colours adding to the appeal. The buffet also operates throughout the week, but the restaurant also offers the diners a choice from the a la carte menu. Pizzas (try the one with the local sausage topping…also called chouriso), burgers, and some hot meals too. Stay local with the Prawn Balchao or the Okra Curry, or check out the blackboard stationed prominently in the restaurant to find out the chef's specialty of the day. The wide open ambience has a lot to contribute too to the cheerful appeal that the coffee shop offers. Or just lounge around with a cuppa. Spread the cheer with the 'culinary feast' amongst family and friends….there is no better way of imbibing level by level the music, food and spirits. It is terraced all the way.
