This is a popular place for Chicken Dum Biryani which is kept in a big container outside the entrance. At Rs. 40 a portion, it's one of the more popular take-aways in Calangute. But they also serve some excellent Punjabi food like Rajma Masala, Gobi Masala and Butter Chicken. It's also one of the few places in Goa where you will get Fish Koliwada (pomfrets and prawns) by the half-and-one-kilo portions. (Koliwada is deep fried seafood in a spicy batter). They also specialize in sizzlers, which come with fish, chicken, mutton, prawns and vegetables. They also have decent Chinese food like noodles, rice and other gravy items like Schezwan Prawns, besides juices and milk shakes, etc.

I found Quarterdeck just an average place. I went there two days back with some of my friends. I heard a lot about Chicken Dum Biryani they serve, which was good. But I didn’t find Rajma Masala and Gobi Masala worth eating. I also had Schezwan Prawns and some juices, which were nice. The service is quite slow and décor is boring. I didn’t find the Quarterdeck so very nice.
