It does not matter which language is spoken, when it comes to food. Italy is considered to be one of the most romantic places in the world, so can one romance with the food, begging for more? Cafe Mangii set up by Prashant Chaudhri gives one an experience of a culinary emotion with a difference. Mangii in Italian means mango and the restaurant has the subtle hues of the mango which give it a very warm and cozy atmosphere. Mangii in Hindi has different connotations, so we have in the restaurant that caters to all wants - the well stocked bar, the lounge area where one could indulge in cocktails and pre dinner drinks, the main dining area and a private dining area. If pizza is on your mind then there is a choice. From a separate pizza section with scorching hot, thin crust preparations coming from a wood fired oven. It will surely get you 'fired' for the shape of things to follow. The Swiss dish - the Fondue also features in the menu. The Carneltini Fondue (smoked chicken, ham or bacon with black, green olives and crusty bread) is dipped in classic cheese and double cream. Take a long stemmed fork and skewer the crusty bread with the smoked ham and coat it with the thick creamy molten cheese…Ahh! You will cry out 'more...more' as the cheese drips down with seductive softness. Take care or you could burn your mouth….let it cool slightly and then savour the awesome morsel. However if seafood is your 'mangii' then the Gnocchi Patata made from mashed potato, spinach and Parmesan cheese is a must for the vegetarians. Another dish which could make your dil go dak dak is the Lobster Thermidor flambeed in cognac, the creamy mixture oozes out of the shell. This designer dish will have your taste buds doing a culinary twist. Or maybe your choice would be the Champagne Risotto to keep you in high spirits. And More! Coming to the Dolci, the Caramel Banana Pie served with calvados caramel sauce or the sinful Chocolate Mousse (rich Belgian chocolate) is certain to have your dil go on overdrive...but you only live once.

Cafe Mangii has a pleasant and beautiful ambiance. I love being there quite frequently. They serve great food and have an excellent service too. The carneltini fondue is my favorite dish here. It is a smoked chicken, ham with green olives and crusty bread. I als like gnocchi patata which is made with mashed potato and spinach topped with cheese Lobster Thermidor flambéed and Champagne Risotto are good too. Amazing food, great décor and efficient service make this a perfect restaurant.
