Located near the huge Panaji Church, Kamat Hotel is a popular pure vegetarian Udipi-style restaurant right in the heart of the city. Come here for their usual South Indian favourites like Masala Dosa, Idli and so on. The thali priced at Rs.60 is very popular with the regulars. They've also thrown in a few Indian-style Jain Pizza and Mushroom Pizza. Their lassi and sweets are to die for, but the juices fall short. You also have the option of making for the Chaat section or sampling their limited Chinese menu with inclusions like Veg Schezwan Fried Rice, Paneer Manchurian and Veg Cheese Burger. The prices are slightly higher in the air-conditioned section upstairs, but the food is the same.

Kamat Hotel is typical South Indian styled restaurant in Goa. If you are tired of trying too much of exotic food come here and try Masala Dosa, Sambhar and Idlis to get back to your roots.
Also they have Pizzas and few Chinese dishes but all of them are Indianized so better not try them and stick to what Kamata Hotel is best known for, that is South Indian.
