Larger-than-life-entertainment is an oft-repeated phrase used to describe Tollywood pot boilers. This movie makes mince meat of the cliche by showing that small can be big too. Come to think of it very few things can get bigger than a housefly on 70mm, but what's fascinating is that the movie shows a computer-generated-housefly can have pretty much the same effect on the audiences as a rippling superstar. Hair-raising entertainment, jaw dropping, mind-bending thrill-a-second ride of the season, probably the decade, Eega is a game changer.
Rajamouli delivered all too well on the promise to show us a fly take its revenge for sure. In doing so, he's set a new bench mark for Telugu cinema. There are some very original thrills and sequences that will sweep you off your feet. The computer-generated wizardry is seamless and raises the bar a fair few notches above "Magadheera". But what is most impressive is the storytelling. Most Telugu filmmakers rely solely on dialogue to take the story forward, but this is perhaps the first film that has the camera taking the narrative forward. In fact, the housefly doesn't have a single dialogue.
It's a simple plot-line. Nani (Nani) is a flower decorator who is madly in love with his neighbor Bindhu (Samantha). It takes two years of pursuing before he even have his first conversation with her. Just as romance blooms, Nani gets killed by the baddie, Sudeep (Sudeep), a powerful businessman. Nani comes back as a housefly to get his revenge. It isn't so much about the plot, but the execution that this movie is about. By the end of the film, the audiences empathize with the fly!
The romance between Nani and Samantha though short-lived is very peppy. Director Rajamouli has stated in the past that romance is his weak point, but has managed to pull it off pretty well this time around. But the real deal begins as soon as the housefly enters the scene. The pace tends to slacken in between, but there are too many 'wow' moments packed through it all, to keep the viewers engaged.
Dialogues are crisp, the cinematography slick and the editing is pretty neat as well. The background score is the stand-out though. MM Keeravani just seems to reserve his best for his kid brother. This album must be one of his finest. Visual Effects are just the best ever for a Telugu film, both in terms of originality and quality of output. The film has over 90 minutes of never-before-seen-visual effects that just blow the audiences away.

Eega is exceptionally conceived and brilliantly executed. It is all about unexpressed love, untamed lust, murderous jealousy and revenge reborn to fly into punitive action. Eega is a fabulous fantasy and a fantastic celluloid phantasmagoria! Rajamouli has done a Hollywood in Tollywood.

The Movie is amazing ... Outstanding movie .. sudeep is excellent loved the perfection and the life he got and offcourse naani is amazing .. and samanta is gorgeous and did 100% performance .. rajamouli ji the direction & story & animation Eeeega total world class full on entertainment.. best thing was the music and the samanta's voice and the music through out the move is amazing the chemistry between the naani and bindu was excellent .. one can watch thie movie mutile times .. i watched it 6 times now !! love it.

Very Good Movie....Must Watch! Atleast now, movie makers please avoid too many songs and fights in between so that people thouroughly enjoy the movie. Now a days more than the content of the movie, songs and dance are given most importance. Movie should be medium to expose new things, let it be social life, politics,love stories, scienc efiction or anything else.

The film is great relief from the routine. Cinematography is unique. Story line is simple still we dont mind time. Graphics are the best in the Indian standards. Rajamouli reaches to the Top class. Keeravani plays quite sober and pleasant. Nani recedes after 40 minutes, but amazingly through 'eega', audience feel him throught. Sudeep is at his best and his action is super. Ultimately is 'eega' (house fly) that makes it.
