Taj Mahal at Abids is a regular restaurant. This neat place is divided into three sections: Family, AC and non-AC. The menu has South Indian, North Indian and few Chinese dishes. However, regulars prefer to stick with the South Indian ones. The crisp Mysore Masala Dosa, Paper Dosa, Steamed Idli and Uttapam are prepared very well. And of course, there are other snack items like upma, pongals and pesarattus. The everpopular dish here is the Mini Button Idli and Vada, served in a bowl of sambhar with coconut chutney. If you happen to be there at lunch time, your best bet would be the Taj Special Thali priced at Rs. 140. Full meals are available for Rs. 110.

My friend had her engagement party at Taj Mahal. The place was really beautiful and elegant. I love the ambiance. It was all very cheerful and nice. The food was great too. It was buffet and I had all South-Indian. Mysore Masala Dosa, Steamed Idli and Uttapam were cooked accurately and were amazing in taste. Sambhar and coconut chutney were delectable too. It was all really nice. Service staffs were well-mannered, helpful and friendly. They were way too polite as well.
