The facade of the building which houses this fine-dining restaurant seems to be cheerless. The building looks quite run-down but you step into a different world once the lift doors open. The restaurant exudes an old world charm that is enticing and easy to slip into. Situated on the 8th floor, Palace Heights with its huge glass windows gives you a panoramic view of the city. The wooden furniture, the upholstery, the marble statues and the paintings all add to a Nizami ambience. A meal here has to be an unhurried affair. Ideally, a leisurely Sunday is what would suit best. The menu includes Indian, Chinese and Continental food. Try the Akbari Kebabs or order a kebab platter. Better still try the typical Hyderabadi Dum Ka Murg and Mutton Korma with some Butter naan. The biryani (mutton and chicken) here with a generous dose of caramelized onions is definitely worth trying. The service keeps pace with the relaxed ambience.

The ambience and the set up, well disappointing. They need a renovation and use of some interesting decorations. Otherwise in food their Korma, Mutton Biryani and kebab platter are examples of fine cooking. May be once in a while one can dine in this place.

Last month was my anniversary and I choose to take my spouse to the Palace Heights. We took a seat near to the glass window from where we were enable to see view of the city. The ambiance was quite wonderful, specially the paintings and the statues. We ordered a kebab platter that was good. Later, we ordered Hyderabadi Dum Ka Murg and Mutton Korma with naan. The food was good and the service was nice either, but what took our heart was the panoramic view of the city. Palace Heights is a good place to enjoy your evening with the love ones.
