Syn has a perfect lounge ambience, with different seating options. There is Synfresco, the al fresco sit-out, against the rather charming rock garden with its 'champa' trees, there is a dining area close to an interactive sushi and teppanayaki live station, and for those who need to nurse their drinks in peace, there is the lounge with comfy chairs, situated a little away from the bar and live stations. Syntinis, as the martinis served here are referred to, are the single most fave cocktails. The Pineapple & Basil Martini, (Rs. 695) as well as the Aquamintini (Rs. 325) are signature cocktails. For groups of 4 and more, there is a Jar O Syn (Rs. 1050) of your fave drink. and Community Drinking (Rs. 2750) is for a group of 10 people. For those who like their drinks, with a twist, there is wasatini, spiked with, hold your breath, wasabi! Popular mocktails are Peached (Rs. 275) and Melange (Rs. 275). Thai chilly honey Artichokes, as well as the crisp-fried waterchestnuts tossed in plum sauce, are good vegetarian starters, both priced at Rs. 225. The corn cakes and platters of vegetarian sushi like Amai Shitake Maki (sushi with shitake mushrooms) are also popular. In the non-veg category. The Grilled chicken in Saigon marinade (Rs. 225) is vastly popular and so is the Chicken satay (Rs. 225). The salmon/crab meat sushi platter (Rs. 350/Rs. 195) is also an excellent conversation cruncher and the crisply fried Prawn Tempura (Rs. 325) is yet another hot favourite. Except Mondays when Syn is closed, the music played is different on different days of the week. There is jazz and blues on Tuesdays. Lounge on Wednesdays, as well as on weekends, Synderella night on Thursdays but on Fridays, there is only rock music played by DJBlack Jack. On Sundays, there are usually movie screenings like Creakg Projectors Films. There are special offers during those evenings between 6 and 8pm and a redeemable cover charge of Rs. 2000 is only levied on Saturdays on couples. Enjoy live band on one or two Sundays every month.
