With an understated ambience and an unhurried and courteous service, Deori is quintessentially an Indian fine-dining place. Try the Unlimited Kebabs or the Feast Options, they are superb value for money. The trio shooters of Pineapple, Tomato and Pepper Rasam are a great way of beginning a meal. For starters, the crisp-fried Karwari Jhinga (rawa-crusted tiger prawns in a spicy marinade) is delicious and so is Veinchina Mamsam (Spicy lamb pepper fry). Mahi Tikka Kali Mirch (fish in a black pepper marinade) will go well with subtler palates, and also Kashminii Kalmi, (grilled chicken thigh), vegetarians will like Chatni Paneer Tikka or the Dahi Kebabs. While Murgh or Goshth Dum Biryani are both good, vegetarians will find Subz Dum Biryani not lagging too! The Handi ki Subzi, Badal-e-jaam (baked layers of eggplant & spicy onion, tomato with cheese) and Dal Makhani make for good vegetarian options, while meat lovers will revel in the saffron-scented Murgh Ki Nihari and the Prawn Balchao. The missi rotis here are among the best one has ever had, with the flavours of the spices and the texture oh-so-perfect! For desserts, the Mango Malai Kulfi is highly recommended.

Deori serves the great Indian cuisine with lavish spread and very tasty side dishes. Gosht Dum Biriyani, Handi ki Subzi are fabulous and rare in the city. Not to forget their niharis are also a fine thing to hog on.

The all Indian menu of Deori is just too exhaustive and covers all popular dishes of this cuisine. Their non veg biryani, Nihari, Rasam, Mahi Tikka Kali Mirch have set the standards for all other Indian restaurant. For that matter everything here is mouth watering and also at the same time light on the pocket.

I went Deori for the corporate meeting. I found the food quite scrumptious. The starters were crisp and authentic to be tasted. Karwari Jhinga was something I just loved having at Deori. Murgh Dum Biryani and Handi ki Subzi, where to delicious to avoid. The food was very good and ambiance excellently done too.
