Despite the addition of four more outlets, the oldest and most popular branch in Banjara Hills is always bustling. At Chutneys the focus remains plain hogging on South Indian tiffin. On the menu, is also a North Indian menu like Chole Bhature and Chinese snacks of the Hakka Noodles variety, both of which are passable. Instead go for the Babai Idli, Masala Dosa and MLA Pesarattu. The latter never ceases to delight, with the hot upma filling, spiked with finely chopped green chillies, sharpening your palate. The Steam Dosa, we would argue, is hyped, and so are the four mini-uttapams in different flavours. The chutneys are unfailingly fresh and delicious, though, and the fragrant filter coffee at the end of any meal is always a delight. You also get an assortment of fresh fruit juices and buttermilk, sweet lassi etc, like any good South Indian vegetarian restaurant. For lunch, there are vegetarian thalis, which are quite fulfilling.

I have been visiting Chutneys Coffee House since years now. Nice, simple yet elegant decor of the restaurant attracts ample number of people. Service is superb. Fast and prompt staffs are well-mannered and polite. I like their servings as well. They serve delectable chole bhature and chinese snacks along with babai idli, masala dosa and steam dosa. Sweet lassi is yummy too. It is thick and luscious. Great food, excellent service and nice decor completes Chutneys Coffee House.
