This newly-launched, fine-dining vegetarian restaurant is quite spacious, with a grey and copper hued ambience and muted lighting. There is a sizable presence of Italian dishes, besides North Indian names on the a la carte menu. The lunch buffet is a good spread, with a mix of Aloo Papri Chaat, Corn Jalapeno Poppers, Lasagna, Dum Aloo Biryani etc. Go for some offbeat dishes like Tilli Milli Subzi (til-spiked mixed vegetables of a baingan bharta consistency, which has a very evolved taste), Lal Mirch Paratha and the Dum Aloo and Corn Biryani. While the à la carte menu lists primarily Indian desserts of the Kulfi, Rasmalai and Gulab Jamun kind, the management promises to get more Italian names like Tiramisu etc very soon. If the desserts on the buffet menu, ie, Bread Pudding and Blueberry Mousse are anything to go by, they are pretty good. But the best is for the last, for buffet diners, as they are all treated to the Paan Shooters, a delightful concoction of flavours of paan, gulkand and all things nice!

Jalpaan is a vegetarian restaurant parked on the top floor of the Oasis mall in Somajiguda.
Valet parking is available and you can walk straight into the elevator that takes you to the restaurant floor.
We were a party of three and lunch was the preferred meal. We went for the buffet spread.
The food was purely Indian - with a special preference given to the Northern part of India. Unlimited Paneer Tikka starters... I gave the soup a miss.
The main course was good and very filling with the usual suspects of biryani and vegetable curries.
Dessert was ice cream and custard - though there were the Indian desserts of Kheer etc.
We were served a complimentary mocktail - one of the friends knew the F&B manager.
The price for a buffet of three was around 900/- very reasonable considering the spread and the general ambiance of the place.
Cheers

The first thing noticeable about Jalpaan restaurant is its big and very well lit ambience. The menu is about Indian and Italian tastes. Lasagna, Tilli Milli Suzbi, Pasta, Dum Aloo Biryani is what I usually eat at this place. The Lal Mirch Paratha is another thing I like indulging in every now and then. In desserts paan is a very delightful addition to the menu I really enjoy having one of them after my meal at the Jalpaan. Nice for family dining and small celebrations.

Jalpaan has a nice relaxing and quite ambiance. I love visiting the restaurant often. They serve great food and have an amazingly nice service. Their aloo papri chaat, corn jalapeno poppers, lasagna, dum aloo biryani and lal mirch paratha are amazing and delicious. even the gulab jamun is delectable and yummy. A nice place to hang out and have good food.
