The USP of Aqua, the alfresco resto-grill-bar on the third floor terrace of Park Hyderabad, is its ringside view of the shimmering Hussain Sagar Lake, especially its Infinity Pool merging into the lake, on the horizon. The ambience is that of an easy informality, with huge, comfy rattan and deck chairs, and the pleasant lakeside breeze, with the pigeons gingerly splashing themselves in the pool, only adds to the charm, especially on lazy Sunday afternoons. In the evenings, the menu is mostly grills , of the Mediterranean kind, with their signature grill being the Aqua Grill (squid, octopus, soft shell crab, prawns and salmon with salmoriglio and spicy barbecued potatoes). There are also Spanish Tapas as well as Mediterranean Mezze Platters. On Wednesdays, are Brazilian BBQ nights, with meats and salads served personally by a gaucho. Aqua's Sunday Brunch is a gastronomic delight, especially its live stations, the Mexican, Pasta, Wraos and Rolls, Dosa-Pesarattu-Paniyaram Delhi Chaat stations,(paani puri with vodka wine rum shots too), as well as the Oriental counters such as the Malaysian Laksa, that ultimate soul broth. The kathi rolls, especially the Egg and Murgh Kathi Kebab rolls are addictive, and so are the Mexican Enchiladas, Quesadas, Burritos, Tacos, with sour cream dips and the works. The other main attractions are the Grilled Barbeque Buffet outside, (with its Basa Fish and Tiger Prawn grills, as well as beef steaks and Chicken Supremes). As if this wasn't quite enough, you also get to hog on Verandah's huge buffet, with its superb salads (Norwegian poached salmon with olives and gherkins, Orange and cumin prawns with melon, Minted Cous cous salad with chickpeas), main courses (Stir Fried Vegetable Noodles with Light Soy, Bhuna Gosht are winners all) and dessert spreads, (don't miss the Fruit Ka Meetha, Lichi Angoori Rasmalai, Peach and Blueberry Cobbler, or the Broiche Ginger Orange Pudding). Accompanying all this is unlimited spirits, including a huge pitcher of chilled Sangria and some offbeat mocktails.
