Bidri continues to impress with its old-world Hyderabadi ambience, down from the intricate black and silver etched bidri and mirror work on the pillars to the crimson-hued chandeliers and sophisticated table ware. An unobtrusive, ever-attentive service and last, but not the least, top-notch cuisine, sum up the experience as one of true-blue fine dining. The menu did a makeover recently to include classical flavours from regions influenced by the Persian & Afghani rulers--- Hyderabad, Awadh, Kashmir and Andhra. Traditional cuisines from the kitchens of India's Riyasats (royal families) from these regions, are now on the menu. Try the Hyderabadi Murgh Dum Shorba, its soul-filling, and for vegetarians, there is the Zafraani Subz Shorba from Lucknow. For non-veg starters, good bets may be the classic Hyderabadi Patthar ka Gosht, or Kashmiri Sikandari Raan. For the local palate, Vanjaram Vepudu, an Andhra delicacy of Pan seared king fish is good. Vegerarians may opt for the Lucknowi Hara Bhara Kebab, as well as the Kashmiri Mawey or Mewey ki Sheekh. Coming to main courses, Kashmiri Rogan Josh, Hyderabadi Dum Ka Murgh, Andhra Miriyalu Kodi Koora and Royyala Iguru are all good non-veg choices, while Dakhani Saag, Aloo Bukhara ke Kofte (Kashmiri), Subz Baoli Handi (Lucknowi) are excellent vegetarian options. Coming to staples, that old fave Bidri Dal remains on the menu. In the pilafs section, there is Hyderabadi Kachhi Gosht ki Biryani, as well as the Lucknowi household dish Aloo ki Tehari! . Don't forget to order Sheermal in your breads basket, its delish. Chef-recommended dishes include Hyderabadi classics Haleem and Nihari. To end on a sweet note, the Bidri Signature Dessert, plated with Khubani ka Meetha, Apple Jalebi and Beetroot Halwa is perfect!

great ambiance, soothing, calm, relaxing and wonderfully done interiors really add value and taste to the food....service of the restaurant is nice too...they are quick, prompt and happy to serve...

Bidri's ambience is classically Hyderabadi and beautiful. The food is authentic of the state and with family this place can be a great experience. Whenever I come to this restaurant I order Asaf Jahi Murgh Tikka and Beetroot halwa besides a host of other dishes. Bidri is good for fine dining.
