Dhola Maru has been in existence for more years than most people in Jaipur even remember. Hotel Clarks Amer was the first five-star hotel of Jaipur and Dhola Maru is their top-floor restaurant that has sumptuous food and good views of the city - if you're near a window seat. In terms of its decor, it's an old-fashioned restaurant, the kind you'd remember from your childhood (if you were growing up in the late 60s and early 70s): coloured glass, chandeliers, paintings on walls…. However, the cutlery is new and smart and the food is excellent. Almost all the Indian items on the menu are above average. Their Laal Maas and Paneer Kofta are good. It's a true-blue family restaurant with live music performances once in a while and it's a place where you're comfortable going with your family, not just friends.

The old world feel and the terrace location of Dhola Maru are pretty relaxing for people of all ages. The Rajasthani and North Indian cuisine of this restaurant is good and served in considerably larger portions. Paneer Kofta is light on oil and spices whereas the Rajasthani dishes are pretty the way I like eating.

Well, I went to this place because many people told me that this place is quite old and the ambience takes you back to the past. Yes, its completely true, its interior, wall painting everything creates a unique charm. I enjoyed eating Laal Maas which is really good here and once in a while this is a perfect place to visit with friends and family.
