Adi meets Sweety. They instantly take a dislike for each other. Adi gets the better of her every once in a while, but she retaliates with a stronger response. Adi's father Haradhan is a clerk with a real estate firm run by Sweety's dad, Shantimoy Ray. Adi and Sweety keep fighting now and then, till one day they realize they are in love. Soon their happiness meets the villain of the story - who else, but the girl's father. After all, who would want his daughter married off into a family which is no match for her in terms of social status! Shantimoy tries to beat up both Haradhan and Adi. Sweety reaches the spot and warns that she would shoot herself if any harm comes their way. Shantimoy gives in to his daughter's threat and challenges Adi to go ahead and earn at least five per cent of worth his assets. And only then he can marry his daughter. Smart Adi refuses to fall for it, saying that it is not a scene from Bollywood blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya. He promises instead, that he would see to it that Shantimoy loses his entire property, after which they would be on equal planes. Now the battle begins... One must have had seen several films like this before. But the best part about Loveria is its treatment. Credit goes to director Raja Chanda for using the same ol' formula, with a twist here and there, and making it worth a watch. The dialogues are funny, so are the characters. Rajatava as Shantimoy is hilarious, but then he is a brilliant actor. Pooja as Sweety looks pretty on screen - just perfect for the role. But the actress has a long way to go when it comes to dancing. She is stiff and needs to learn how to enjoy her moves. Soham as Adi can fight, act and dance, but comes across as this chubby little boy in a man's body. Albeit in a cameo, Dipankar De as Kaka gels well. Music director Samidh Mukherjee, who has a bit role in the film, is okay. The film is expected to do well with those who love rom-coms, sprinkled with some action. Loveria has too many songs - one for every situation - strictly formulaic. However, the director should have taken a note of the film's duration. It stretches too long and tries your patience after a point.
