The red, black and white lounge greets you at Red. Dark with low leather seating, the niches and corners attract a lot of the lounging crowd. An extensive bar, featuring Virgin Mary, Red Eye Joe, Grasshopper, Breezing Blue to cocktail favourites like Caipiroska, Cosmopolitan, Bloody Mary or the Long Island Iced Tea. For bites, either go for their elaborate buffets at the adjoining restaurant space or pick on the Dry Fish Fingers Oriental Style, Jumbo Prawns in Butter Garlic or Corn and Asparagus Kebab. The lounge is often given for private bashes, so call before you land up.

Low, leather seating in the lounge area, with an extensive bar that sees a great deal of private parties and dos, with interiors in red and black, Red Kitchen & Lounge sits quietly in Alipore. Its dark entrance gives no hint whatsoever of its interiors. The restaurant has private seating and a burnt-brick open kitchen where you get to watch the chef preparing barbecues and fresh in-house specials. The Mongolian live counter offerings are absolutely excellent and should not be missed! Their Chinese and Indian dishes too are good: be it the starters or main course dishes, all are way above average. A wee bit on the expensive side, perhaps, but certainly worth the price.

This restaurant is right at the heart of Alipore near state bank. It's a nice place suitable for small group party etc. Although price too high in comparison of similar standard, but still it worth. Service is good enough.

The first thing that comes to mind when i think of this place is the amazing live mongolian counter. Its just crazy !!!!
Red Kitchen, belonging to the same group that owns Red Hot Chilli Pepper located above the Enclave mall in Alipore has been the favorite destination for us friends during our college days.. There are two portions, one is a restaurant and other a lounge just beside it separated by a glass door. Lounge is comfortable but the quality of music is very ok. The restaurant is a bit compact but comfortable. The decor is very simple and nice.
The food quality is par excellence. The live mongolian counter is just amazing. Red kitchen, tangerine, fusion were the first places to serve mongolian food in kolkata. I love their live bbq also. The chinese food is great which is a given, being sister concern of the RHCP. The indian food is nice. I love their reshmi paneer tikka, cheese starters, black dal and paneer makhani.
The pricing might seem a bit on higher side but the food justifies every penny spent.
Favorite Dishes / Drinks: reshmi paneer tikka
