Done up in red, black and white, with low leather seating, Red in Alipore is a lounge bar with an adjoining restaurant. Dark, with niches and corners, Red attracts a lot of the lounging crowd. It has an extensive bar, featuring Virgin Mary, Red Eye Joe, Grasshopper, Breezing Blue to cocktail favourites like Caipiroska, Cosmopolitan, Bloody Mary or the Long Island Iced Tea. For bites, either go for their elaborate buffets at the adjoining restaurant space or pick on the Dry Fish Fingers Oriental-style, Jumbo Prawns in Butter Garlic or Corn and Asparagus Kebab. The lounge is often reserved for private bashes, so it is advisable to call up before dropping in there.
