Sonargaon at Taj Bengal specializes in Indian fare, with a thrust on the flavours of Punjab, North West-Frontier and Bengal. A meal at this lobby-level restaurant is satisfying and the open kitchen, live grill and griddle counters add to the excitement. While they are known for their Dal Sonargaon, Pathar Gosht, Raan Sonargaon and the Baliey's infused Kulfi, you can rely on the team of chefs here to rustle up excellent Bengali-style fish delicacies: Beckti Paturi, Chingri Malai Curry and Pabdar Jhol and more. Cobbled flooring, rustic feel with mud walls, lanterns, all bathed in soft mellow light... a meal at Sonargaon is a celebration of life. Expensive but worth every penny..

Bengali, Punjabi and North West Frontier cuisines are authentically prepared and beautifully served at the Sonargaon. For treating some special person with special food and world class treatment this restaurant of Taj Bengal is the right place to come to. I usually bring my friends who are from out of town to this place for some lip smacking food from north India, also with family this place is a great option for dinner. In food Raan Sonargaon, Chingri Malai Curry, Pathar Gosht are delicious and must eat items here at the Sonargaon.

This restaurant has amazing interior which compels you to eat here. I ordered Dal Sonargaon, which it is famous for. Apart you can also try fish delicacies which has an excellent taste. I enjoyed eating here and loved the service and ambiance.
