An old restaurant that was established in the 70s, Samrat has fed many a lawyer, judge and the legal office crowd in and around the High Court area. Open only during office hours (they are open for half day on Saturdays), Samrat is not bad for a quick snack or an office lunch, with its local specialities and typical combo of Indian and Chinese fare. It might not be a place to relax and sit around, but you can confidently order the Pepper Salt Mushrooms, Chilli Chicken, Veg Tandoori Platter, Fish Fry, Fish Roll and Pudding for dessert. The food is nothing great but it's fairly palatable.
