A musician’s passion for food gave birth to Chowman! This small speck in the southern fringe of the city is drawing crowds to its dainty, modest, restaurant-seating space. The food comprises local pork, chicken and vegetables with imported sauces and cooked in true-style smoked woks with dollops of passion. Prawn Dim Sums, Roasted Pork, Pork in Orange Sauce, Chicken in Cashewnuts and Dry Chillies are worth trying. Their fairly large home-delivery chain is expanding in the southern part of the city with a new take-away branch on Broad Street. But flexibility with customer orders is the need of the hour - posing too many conditions in take-away business will act as a deterrent.

Lovely interior and equally attractive and tempting Chicken in Cashewnuts and Dry Chillies. Hard to resist for long.

Chowman’s interior and ambience is gripping for me and I always feel a sense of belonging to this place. The food is no doubt good in variety and especially Roasted Pork is a must try out of this place. This place is really good with the non veg dishes take away option is so much convenient for all. Post office I sometimes pick my dinner from here.

Chowman is a small eatery joint located in Ballygunge. I am frequent to the place since few years. The place is small and simple yet looks good. Prawn Dim Sums, Roasted Pork, Chicken in Cashewnuts and Dry Chillies are some of my favorite fares served here. The dishes served at Chowman are fresh and hygienic. I really like the service too. They are fast, quick and cordial. I must say Chowman is one of the excellent places in the city with amazing food .
